iOs 5 Tips

Longer Lasting Battery
One of the most important things about having an iPhone is, well, having the iPhone readily available. If you are having
battery problems, its going to be next to impossible to have your iPhone available all throughout the day. In order to maintain your iPhone’s battery life, you are going to want to kill ALL unused apps! Believe it or not, unused apps are constantly running in the background, that means less battery life for your iPhone!

Notification Center Tips
We all like our notifications but we all like our notifications a SPECIFIC way. To most, customizing the iOS 5 notification system a precise way is incredibly crucial.  In order to  change your app’s notifications, you must go to Settings.app > Notifications and select the app you want to edit. In order to specify the notification system to your needs, you should play around with it and see what works best for you.

Monthly Reminders
Reminders, oh the importance of reminders, where would we be without them? If reminders are important for you, this quick, yet important tip is for you. Access the reminders.app, tap ‘Date’ in the top then tap the Calendar glyph in the upper left.

Take Pictures With Your Headphones
This is incredible. Taking pictures with headphones? This has got to be something new to everyone! In order to take pictures using the iPhone’s headphones you must first access the iPhone’s camera, then use the headphones’ “volume up” button. Sure this may sound like an odd tip but it is great for those who need a long distance shutter button.

Quickly View Your Pictures
One of the first things you want to do after taking a picture is to view it, especially after taking that picture with your headphones! In order to INSTANTLY view your photos after taking them, you must swipe the screen to the left in order to review your pictures that you have just taken. If you are ready to take another photo all you need to do is slide to the right in order to get back to the camera or tap on the blue camera icon. Review your entire camera roll by accessingthe Camera.app.

Add Games To The Game Center
If you’re a gamer you are going to love this tip. With the iOS  release, iTunes has been integrated with the Game Center! With the new iOS 5, Apple has allowed the ability to get app/game recommendations based on the games you love to play and the people you follow. Another great thing is that you can download  all of these games from within Game Center! Which means no jumping to and from the App Store. Tap the Games icon and you’ll see your game recommendations at the top with icons.

Emoji Built In!
I don’t know about you, but I have been waiting for this and enjoy it very much! Texting has been revitalized, emojis are now built in! In order to access the emojis, go too to General > Keyboard > International Keyboards and tap ‘Add New Keyboard, then  look for Emoji. Sound simple? Yes, it really is!

Custom Tones
Another great thing about the iOS 5 is the custom tones! Custome tones allow you to add seperate tones or ringtonesto your call tone, email tone, voice mail tone, tweet tones, calender tones or text tones. These tones are available for just about ANY alert system on your iPhone!
